The Renaissance - A Spark

This is a beautiful short read about the beginning of a journey, how immersing yourself in a great book can open up a whole new world of meaning for you. Emerson really captures the feeling of a spark igniting the spirit, and through the narrator's personal journey we become inspired to discover more of the world and its culture and history.

The central themes of this book focus on being present and mindful, and reflecting on how you fit into the bigger picture of life and history. I found myself feeling envious of the central character's contentment with the simplicity of life and his awareness of the joy of simply being part of it. It is a short read but will make you think and reflect and central message will stay with you. Highly recommend it.

Sehr empfehlenswert.
